ISTE Chapter (Staff):
Our ISTE Staff
chapter has been functioning efficiently since its inception in
1998.The main objective of the chapter is to involve the members
of staff and enhance their technical skill so that their
contribution to the students will boost the students' skill in the
technology. The chapter regularly organized weekly meetings in
which eminent industrialists and leading professionals share
their knowledge with the members of staff. The chapter also
aims to improve the quality of members of staff through
staff development programs. Mr. I. Alfred Ebenezer, Principal is the
President of the chapter and Mr. A. Sankarasubramanian is Secretary
- cum-Treasurer of the chapter.
At present there are 38 Life Members and 2 General Members in our chapter.So far our faculty members presented 28 papers in National and International Level Conferences.A DACUM workshop was also organised by the chapter for the members of staff for the improvement in their curriculum. Our Secretary A. Sankarasubramanian has been elected as Member, Section Managing Committee, ISTE - TamilNadu and Pondicherry section for the period 2003 - 2004. Our Principal Mr. K. Sourirajan has been awarded the "Best Polytechnic Teacher Award" by ISTE-TamilNadu and Pondicherry section. ISTE Chapter (Students):
NPA Centenary
Polytechnic, ISTE Students chapter was started in the month of
Feb.1999.In this chapter about 250 students have enrolled as
members. This has been started for the welfare of the
students. Every year around 10 programs like personality
development, self motivation and self-esteem, career
guidance, how to face interviews, industrial training and
industrial visits were organized to improve the academic
and technical performance of the students. Mrs. R. Manjula,
faculty advisor, carries out her responsibilities in a
remarkable and excellent manner.
